One summer Saturday, Earl (suroypilipinas.com), Malou, Edward and I were excited to see Magubo Falls. Farmer Jayvee fetched us from a waiting shed in front of barangay hall. He brought us to Ant Farm and later guided us to the falls.
His team led us above a cliff. We had to get down that cliff to reach the river and trail toward the falls. My questioning mind wanted to clarify if he was just joking. He really wasn't.
We started the descent clinging to whatever our hands could grasp. We did every position we could--- sitting, sliding, crawling, walking sideways, moving backward and name it. We did all those for more than half an hour.
Our reward was almost at hand when we finally saw the clear river. We trekked. We hopped from rock to rock.
Not too long, we heard the thunderous waterfall sound. Later, the far view of the falls intensified our excitement.
Everything paid off when we settled down the falls. The enticing wide and cool pool was so inviting.
After a cool dip, I decided to get closer to the falls. On its far side, there are also fine cascades streaming down the mossy wall. It felt really great under its gentle drops.
I learned that I could get closer to the main falls, even under the cascades.
I braved to bask under the cascades through mossy and slippery rocks.
I felt the waters all over me. And I was craving for more.
I let myself beaten hard by strong drops and I succumbed in the pleasure it gave me for so long.
After the satisfying union with the cascades, I went back to the team who had been waiting for me.
This time, we had to climb up the very difficult trail we descended down hours lately.
Back to the farm, we tidied ourselves up, explored a little and talked about other sites nearby. We then parted ways.
Here's a video showing how I basked under the cascades:
