UGIS PEAK: The Skyscraper of the South


UGIS PEAK is truly a silent stunner among southern Philippine mountains. This scyscraper of Teduray (Tiruray) community of Sitio Ugis, Marguez, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat is popularly known for its challenging knife edge summit offering exhilarating view of the lowlands and other landscapes. 
  

Summiting Ugis Peak averagely takes around 2-3 hours. A refreshing waterfall awaits every guest after a wearisome climb. 




 

 


There are many waterfalls along the way to Sitio Ugis. While in Marguez, you may also visit Marguez Hot and Cold Spring.



SCHEDULE OF FEES:

Reg fee is only P20.00 as of the moment. One (1) guide is required for 5 guests below. Guide fee is P300. Trekking stick rental is P20.00.

HOW TO GET THERE: 

From Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, take a jeep to Poblacion, Esperanza. Fare is P20.00. From Esperanza terminal, look for habalhabals bound to Brgy. Marguez. Tell the driver you are heading to Sitio Ugis. Fare is P200.00 per trip for two pax. Travel time is around 40 minutes.
