EPOL FALLS: A Curtain in the Woods

EPOL Mountain Spring Resort in Epol, Baganihan, Marilog District, Davao City is just a 300 meter trek from the national highway. The main falls--- EPOL FALLS is around 20 feet high. Its mountain cool, gentle cascades curtain down the limy rock. Locals say the falls is a 5-series cascades with names such as Tourist, Jordan, Epol and two more. According to sources, EPOL is an acronym for EVERLASTING POWER OF LOVE.

HOW TO GET THERE:
From Malaybalay, take a bus bound for Davao (preferably non-aircon). Not long after passing through Bukidnon-Davao boundary, drop off at EPOL in Brgy. Baganihan. A 300 meter trek is required to reach the falls.

From Davao, take a CDO bound bus (non-aircon) and drop off at EPOL in Brgy, Baganihan. A 500-meter trek is required to reach the falls.

FEES:
A right of way of P7.00 is collected at the entrance. Another P7.00 is collected in the small house near the falls.

OTHER FEES: For Overnight Stay
Tent Pitching: P10.00
Unused Hut Rent: Big=50/head minimum of 10 pax
                              Small=50/head minimum of 6 pax

      If you're from Davao, it would cost around P100. From Malaybalay, it's around P200. And the enjoyment is priceless.

    3. Hi, Mae-Ann! Yes, pwedeng mag-overnight dun. Some pitch their tents. Some rent the old cottages near the falls. Just bring your own sleeping gears.

  3. Is it ok to bring toddlers along? Kayanin kaya nila ang trekking? From the Highway going to the Falls and back? How far po ba from the highway to the falls?

      it's okay to bring toddlers. just guide them well. rocky/stony ang trail. careful lang pagbaba ng hagdan sa harap nga falls. the distance from the highway is estimated to be around 500 meters.

  4. I want to go there pero ako lang mag-isa. Is it safe there? at how many minutes or hours trekking to reach the falls?

    1. hy, zyna. yes, it's very safe to trek there alone. it's pretty close to the highway. trekking would only take 15-20 minutes.
