THE WINDMILLS OF BANGUI, ILOCOS NORTE

The Windmills of Bangui, Ilocos Norte were erected to support the Northwind Bangui Bay Project. There are 20 turbines all in all, lined along the 9km Bangui shoreline. The turbines, spaced 326 meters apart, are 70 meters high with blades 41 meters long. Each turbine can produce electricity up to 1.65 megawatts.

Because of the eyecatching gigantic structures, the Bangui Wind Farm is among the tourist destinations in Ilocos Norte.
