OKLAHOMA ISLAND RAFI'S RESORT: A Scenic Getaway of Misamis Occidental

Oklahoma Island Rafi's Resort aka Oklahoma Beach is a hidden gem of Misamis Occidental. It is situated in Baliangao, the northernmost town of the province particularly in Sitio Cabgan, Brgy. Punta Miray. The resort occupies 4 of the few islets of the sitio. The 4 islets are interconnected with wooden footbridge, the longest is 30 meters. The resort can be reached through a boat provided by the management. The resort is a perfect place for swimming, sunset watching, picture taking, beach hiking and enjoying privacy.

I know you are interested to get the resort's contact number. So here it is--- MARK- 09152317772.

And here's my short tale...

I and my wife, Hazel, happened to bump into the place one weekend. It was quite a long trip but it's all worth it. For sure, we really had a great time...

 THE ARRIVAL
After an 8-hour trip from CDO, we finally reached the entrance of Oklahoma Beach in Brgy. Punta Miray, Baliangao. We proceeded to the reception and headed to their private port where the boat that would take us to the islets awaited for us.
The reception

The wooden footbridge to the port

The bamboo port

The boat that took us to the islets
The welcoming view of the resort

The reception at the islet

The footbridge to our humble cottage

WAITING FOR THE SUNSET

Upon arrival to the resort, we took a short rest. Then we observed the activities of the locals in the surroundings. We waited for the sunset and enjoyed its magnificent view.

THE SUNRISE

The next morning, I woke up earlier than the sun while my wife basked in the comfort of our cottage in the islet. I caught the sunrise and got a dose of sun on my darker-than-tan skin.

That is our cottage!

 BEACH STROLLING AND PICTORIALS

When the sun was finally up, we enjoyed the crowd-free golden sands and had our photography session. We strolled to the other parts of the islets and posed freely as no one else was around.

THE DEPARTURE
If only we could stop the clock, we would stay there as long as we wanted. It was time to leave the place and our hearts were bleeding. The place never disappointed us. Its beauty, serenity and wonderful scenery are truly worth a comeback...

    1. thanks, elzred.

corkage fee applies to food especially for large groups. but it's so negotiable with the management.

there's a small area for camping on one side, but better inquire through their tourism officer regarding tent pitching.
