GANTUNGAN FALLS: The Little Mighty Falls

Gantungan Falls is one of the major cascades of CEDAR, Impalutao, Impasugong, Bukidnon. The mighty waterfall measures 30 feet high. It cascades among gigantic rock walls that sandwich Gantungan River. Usual trek in CEDAR makes one see Gantungan Falls topview. Adventurers, however, risk to river trek to see the falls in its full glory. Swimming is even required to get through the deep still portion of the river. Among salient features of the falls are its compact drop, the cavern at the base of the falls and the clear water drops that curtain the cavern.

HOW TO GET THERE: 

A. -From Malaybalay, take CDO bound bus. Alight at Impalutao, Impasugong right at the entrance of CEDAR. 
-From CDO, take southbound bus. Alight at Impalutao, Impasugong right at the entrance of CEDAR. 

B. Take a short walk to the registration area. Pay P10.00. Continue walking to swimming pool. Cross the bamboo bridge past the pool. Follow the trail. You may notice the top of another falls---Natigbasan Falls. Continue trekking until you see a narrow trail on your left leading down the river. The trail is difficult and slippery. You need to cling on roots to touch the water. Start rivertrekking upward. Swim when necessary. Gantungan Falls will finally amaze you.
